Update (June 19, 2017)

So it's been about a month now since my last update. In that time I've been continuing to work on all the past projects; I pushed at update to unums recently and I've been working through a copy of The Finite Element Method in a Julia notebook to make sure I'm understanding the Fortran example code, although I haven't uploaded that yet. Speaking of Julia, I'm attending JuliaCon this week, so my plan is to at the very least upload a post for each day so I have a record of the conference. If I'm feeling really ambitious, I may make a post for each talk, but with some only running 30 minutes or so, that may not always be practical.

I've labeled this as an update instead of a weekly update because I think I want to move away from the weekly format. There's only so much that can happen in a week, so I've tended to have updates with pretty similar information. That, and writing updates does take time and effort, so there's a balance with other work that needs to be considered.

Otherwise, I have a few things going on on the personal side (an upcoming move, job hunting, etc.) that will be taking up a fair amount of time through the end of July, so my progress might be somewhat slowed. Still, I'll do my best to keep things updated; if nothing else I want to have the unums project in a more advanced state for an upcoming meeting. But, of course, if any of that changes, you'll read about it here.
